BIZyCart can be divided into a number of basic functions:
- Secure Shopping Cart functions for collecting orders and detailed information about the customers and products.
- Dynamic templating to generate attractive web sites with a minimum number of web pages.
- Creating Indexes, Table of Contents, and Site Maps.
- Generate catalog pages from template web pages and the information in the data bases.
- Assemble information pages such as the BIZyCart Manual.
- Process request and survey forms to collect and E-Mail data.
- Link pages, which may be modified and expanded, are included.
- Control access based on user names and account numbers.
- Web management to allow the site owner complete control over BIZyCart's functions and their site contents.

| Secure Shopping Cart Functions |
BIZyCart uses a simple but effective method to ensure the buyer understands what is happening.
- Exactly what was ordered is displayed immediately after clicking an 'Order' button, along with previous items.
- They can 'Continue Shopping' or proceed to 'Check Out'.
- When 'Check Out' is clicked, BIZyCart will shift to the https secure mode with either the site's or its own SSL certificate.
- On 'Check Out', their billing, shipping, and payment method information can be collected on one form page or with a sequence of form pages.
- After completing their billing information, they have a second opportunity to confirm their order is correct and accept any shipping charges before clicking 'Place Order' to finalize the process.
- Appropriate shipping charges are optionally collected directly from USPS, UPS, DHL, and/or FedEx.
- All information is stored as it is completed and the buyer may return later and continue from where they left off.
- BIZyCart does not require cookies but they allow the buyer to return later with less confusion.

| Dynamic Templating |
The Catalog Data Base has fields for both dedicated and general purpose use. There are web page replacement tags (!Tags!) for each data base field that allow complex and reliable methods for assembling and displaying information.
- Mixed pages can be generated for contents, indexes, hyperlinks, in multiple tables.
- Index records set the header and footer information on a page with assembled tables in the middle.
- Up to four price levels can be used on the template pages.
- Page access can be controlled for members, wholesalers, distributors, or customer retail prices.
Easy to adapt sample web page templates are available for almost anything you might need. |
| Creating Indexes |

The Group, SubGroup, and Category fields (collectively called Groups) can be used to generate almost any kind of listing you want to display. The use of "INDEX" and "CONTENT" in the Groups serve a special purpose to sort those records to the top of the data base and control the text and functions outside lists created in the web page. | Generate Catalog Pages |

BIZyCart has templating methods to create single column, multi-column, staggered, and propositioned product listing pages using the BASE, DETAIL, or GALLERY modes. See Replacement Tags and Templates Page. |
| Assemble Information Pages |
|
This BIZyCart Manual is an example of how index records and replacement tags may be used to create searchable information or technical support pages. Index records are created for each chapter and sub chapter. Those in turn open pages to display the part number records with the text paragraphs.
Next and Previous Page buttons (controlled by the Index Records) can be added to turn the pages similar to a book. Like here, Contents buttons can take the reader back to the Table of Contents pages. |
| Request and Survey Forms |

As an Ecommerce Server, BIZyCart also handles formatted Request, Contact Us, and Survey pages. Web pages can be created to collect up to 99 questions and return the answers as formatted E-Mail messages or displayed as bar graphs. |
| Expandable Link Pages |
|
The basic BIZyCart installation includes a Links Page that includes many of the other BIZyCart sites. You can expand the list with your own favorite links and disable those you don't wish to display.
An Update button is provided on the BIZyCart Admin Login page so you can add any new BIZyCart sites to your links. The link pages ensure new sites quickly gain ranking on search engines like Google. |
| Access Control |

Routing to products, downloads, and client data pages can be controlled by Group, Account Login, paid memberships and/or usage levels. BIZyCart also records all movements through your web site by IP and Account Number.
"Forgot Password" buttons can be added where convenient to reduce the number of E-Mail messages you must personally answer. |

Extensive and comprehensive Web Management pages are provided as templates that can be customized to suit your needs. The Client Management includes real-time credit card transaction management buttons. The Catalog Management goes well beyond any of the shopping carts. |
