Web Page Banner Headings
I use about 25% of the browser window as a guideline for the headings on web pages. More than that and people start forgetting what they were looking for. Using space for navigation panels down the left should be minimized and they should not appear on every page.  Using navigation links at the foot is more effective.

Adding another panel down the right side of the screen cramps and confuses things. Not a big problem on the home page but it should not end up leaving a long blank area underneath it.

Links Between Pages
Studies from many years ago indicted that people can only deal effectively with about ten choices at a time. You can get around that somewhat by zoning the areas the choices are in. The banner heading and its coloring set one zone of choices and the product description area sets another.

A site map or outline of the major site topic areas is important in keeping things organized and structuring the site so it's easy to find things. If an area has too many topics, it should be broken into smaller areas.

The size and coloring of link choices also has to be kept balanced or carefully planned so people follow the path through your site the way you need them to. People arriving on the home page are most likely select a large or brightly colored link first. That page should then guide people to the next most important area. If it gives the impression it's the only important page, people will not go any further.
