Computer Help
Click anywhere in a blank spot on your desk top and press the [F1] key. That will open the main Windows help panel.  The same [F1] key will open up the help in almost every program.  Many people never find it.  The Windows help covers all kinds of things.
Viewing Web Changes
When you click the temporary "Admin" link on your home page, BIZyCart will open a second browser window for the management login.  If you click the double square icon at the upper right, the screen will shrink and you can drag the edges to the size you want.  When you are in the right place, the cursor will change to a double arrow.  Put the cursor in the blue title bar across the top of the browser window and hold down the left mouse button.  That will let you drag the whole panel where you want it.  With a 1024 wide screen, you can have a web page and the management page side by side.

After you click CORRECT, refresh the web page your are updating to see the change.

At the bottom of your computer screen there's a rail with the "Start" button at the left.  In that rail should be buttons with "Site Name..." and "BIZyCart - Cat...".  When you click those, that web page or program will come to front where you can see it.

If you click the underline [_] button at the upper right, that browser screen or program will collapse and only appear on the rail at the foot.  Click its button at the foot of the screen to expand it again.

Adjusting web text appearance
If you click the grey HTML button at the top right of the Catalog Management page it will bring up a display showing some of the handy HTML codes for changing the appearance of text entered via the management panels.

Below that is an illustration of the font style settings for your site.  Each has a purpose.  "Prose", for example, is usually used for the text on the home page and "Title" is used for the bold paragraph captions.

Below that is a list of the standard HTML fonts set at Size 4.

We haven't developed a web management page to edit the style sheets yet.  It's faster to fix it using NotePad.  If you'll let your web designer know what text area you want changed, they can modify the style sheet and change the appearance of that font usage throughout your site.  Many of the font classes are also used for the billing and management pages so you need to watch the results there when changing styles.

Web Browser Short Cut Keys
To speed up moving around web pages
  • The [F1] key will pop up a search panel to search a web page for words.
  • The [Backspace] key will normally return you to the previous web page.
  • The [F5] key in IExplorer will refresh the page.
  • The [Home] key will always take you to the top of a web page.
  • The [End] key will always take you to the bottom of a web page.
  • The [Page Up] and [Page Down] keys will let you move up and down web pages in screen size increments.
Repairing Mistakes (Whoops!)
If you make a mistake inside one of the edit fields, hold down the [Ctrl] key and press the [Z] key. That will undo the last correction you made inside the edit box.
Admin Page Shortcuts
A shortcut to your Admin Login page may be typed into the browser's Address line as:

The shortcut to the secure web mail login page is:

Windows Vista Problems
Windows Vista has its own ideas on protecting the user against all kinds of things.  Often to the point of being extremely annoying.

Web Browser Downloading
Windows Vista will not let you remove or undo File Associations.  If you inadvertantly get the .zip extension associated with Adobe or other programs, you will not be able to use the "Open" option for downloads.  If you "Save" a download, that may not work properly to uncompress a *.zip file.

Short of hiring an expert to edit your Registry, the best solution is to purchase a program that will fix the file associations when it is installed.  I recommend "PKZIP Standard for Windows" or " WinZip" from Microsoft.
